I would let a reputable shop do it, one that is more than familiar with honda heads. Do a search and you will find plenty of references on here.

you do not need to resleeve a block if your p&p a head.

Worth it to port and polish the head, yes. Worth it to let just anyone port and polish the head, no.

Sleeves would be installed into the block, the only reason you would need them is if you want them.

i would never let someone p&p a head for only $150. If thats all they are charging, then there is no way that they are doing it right.

Port work is an art form that takes hundreds of heads to perfect. I use dh-racing.com for all my port work. Fair priced and one of the best porters on the market. Check out importreview.com under dyno section 1.6 liter. Daves b16a build is the record breaker on importbuilders.com dyno for the b16a. Check out the rest of the dyno's of b16a with the set up ran. 160 whp without the port work. Dave made 190 whp. 30 whp from a cylinder head can't beat that on a street motor.

It's 2800 for a fully built b16a. That's a bargin. 190 whp motor dyno proven.
