From my experience it won't. I bought a 94 del sol VTEC clutch and tried to use it in my J1 tranny and it fit, but it was way too loose and would have shattered after 5 minutes.

I know you are asking about cable to hydro, but I figure trying to put a hydro clutch on a cable tranny would be the same thing.

Hope that helped.

Which cable tranny do you have? 92+ or 91-?

It will fit but it won't work.

You'll see what I mean when you try to install it.

The spline size on the input shaft of the tranny is 1 or 2 mm different. The 90-91 Trannie's input shaft is smaller than the 92+ trannies. It will rattle and end up shearing the center splines off the clutch disk over time.

I drove my car with a Clutchmaster's clutch for a 92+ Integra for 2 years, got DAMN lucky it held up so long, and when I turbo'd my car, the torque was too much, and it finally sheared the center out. Left me stranded when on lunch at work. Oops.
