Default help, tranny?

I just recently bought a integra type r tranny for my car. I got a really good deal on it. The tranny is really awesome but one this is wrong. My 2nd gear pops out of gear if i dont have gas on the pedal. Sometimes i cant go back into 2nd when turning because it might grind. The only time i can use my 2nd gear is when going from 1st into 2nd with gas on the pedal until i go into 3rd or else it pops out if i let my foot off the gas pedal. My question is if it is related to the tranny? or what would be cauing this to happen. Please help because i need to know whats wrong so i can fix it. thanks, any help is appreciated.

if you cant diagnose the problem while driving/inspecting the car i dont think you should be trying to fix it.

I am not saying you dont know what you are doing, I think you may want to clarify a bit by saying your going to have someone fix it.

sounds like what happened to me in my 89 accord and my 88 prelude. there was a bent shift fork and torn up synchros

i lost 5th and reverse in the prelude and eventially all the gears in my accord.

that one was nasty with oil shooting out the tranny the last time i parked it before i gave it to the hard working mexicans that were employed by my father and had no vehicle.

anyway... internal transmission problems almost for sure.

Yep pretty much. Droping the tranny and spliting the case will probably be your only option to find out exactly what is wrong.
