Ok guys. I would like to thank everyone that helped me with my tach problem. It was something with the ignitor. I just opened it up and then re-connected it and the tach started to work fine, except for a stutering. Now this problem was already there, but i forgot to mention it. Now it feels like some kind of fuel cutoff. I step on the gas and about 3-4k rpm the car stuters. I release the gas and then step on it again and it helps it out but it still stuteres all the time. Now sometimes it runs fine, but after a while it will do it again. Also the check engine light comes on and sends code 15 and 17. But once I turn off the car and re-start it, the light turns off. Also i haven't been able to see why my speedometer doesn't work.
Sorry for the long post but I'm just trying to the work myself and I'm not too experienced. I'm thinking the stutering is the Fuel filter, but i'm not too sure. Can you guys please help me out again, thanks.

 

Replace your distributor, or get it rebuilt.

 

The WHOLE distributor or just replace the ingniter with a new one?

 

What about the stutering? Is that the distributor??

 

I have seen this problem before, it was something in the distibutor. If I was you I would just replace the whole distributor. But that's me I don't like ******* around and trying to pin point what the problem is. I would assume that you aren't getting any spark and that is what is causing the car to stuter.
