hasport mounts strong?
i wanted to get the hasport mounts for b18b turbo, but ive heard from a couple people that their very weak and wouldnt stand up to any really strong power, is this true?
who ever told you the hasport mounts are weak doesn't have a clue. I have a set in my ef and my motor doesn't even budge an inch, in fact they are so solid the entire car vibrates from the engine just idling.

my friend broke the timing belt mount in his prelude/turbo hatch...but hasport gave him a stronger mount to handle that amount of power. so i guess there are 2 kinds of hasport mounts
Hasport is a good mount company...but again remember it is made out of AL and there are only 3 mounts. HCP is mild steel and runs 4 mounts. Much better for high HP turbo guys worried about motor flex.

I have the hasport kit with the black rear bushing and under heavy deceleration like a downshift ino a corner the the motor will smack the crossmember sometimes. Otherwise I have no complaints. Since the car isnt a daily driver anymore I might call hasport and get the black durometer inserts for all the mounts. Talk about a rattle trap
HCP stuff has been horrible. They have tried a bunch of times to get the front mount of a friend's H22-->EK. It's been too short and too long, now we're taking measurements to get it right. At least they're refunding some $$.
Oh, and my Hasport mounts are GREAT. And Brian's customer service is among the best I've run into.

i was talking to a guy w/ a ef b16 at the local speed shop and he was saying since to hasport mount kits only use 3 mounts and doesnt have the front mount that goes the the cross member, if you get in an accident say 50mph front on your motor will be sitting in your lab. anyone else heard of this? its kinda scary when i driving on the freeway... anyone know?
