Idle..and oil leak somewhere..
ok for some reason something is going on with it...i set it the other day for just under 1k rpm's and this morning it was back around 600...it was just around 600 the other day which is y i set it a little higher than normal...but when sittin at a stop light, my car starts to shake cause my idle is so low...the thing on my tb is stipped so i used the throttle cable to adjust it...is it cause of the idle control thing on my tb or what?
also..there is oil build up in which i cant tell if its either coming from my valve cover gasket or my head gasket...ive heard both...i do not have oil in my anti-freeze and my car isnt running that bad although it doesnt sound too great...but yea any replies would be awesome! thx!

It seems like the oil problem should be pretty easy to isolate. Just clean off around the valve cover and the head, let it idle as you lie under it and wait for the oil to appear. The idle problem could be O2 sensor or any number of things. How's the compression, condition of the spark plugs, last tune up etc? Is this a swapped engine?
Have you looked and adjusted the throttle position sensor(TPS)? Look for it on the intake manifold. I had the same problem in my 96' DC. I thought the internals were trashed so I just decided to replace the motor with a 99 B20. As I was taking the LS motor out, I took off the heat shield of the header to apply the LS header/heat shield to my B20/...... Lo and Behold, I cracked the stock header and found out the reason why my car idled so bad. God damn, oh well; at least I got a nice B20 out of it!
well the throttle position sensor wouldnt be stripped..its a sensor...its either broken or not...your probably referring to the adjusting screw on the throttle butterfly....if the tps is broken internally that will definately cause a large problem with ur idle. if u are sure that the tps is good...i would set the throttle cable back to the original designation...wait for the vehicle to warm up to op temp...shut the car OFF...and pull the throttle butterfly to wide open and see if u can get to the stripped out screw with a pair of long neck needle nose pliers....if it doesnt work i would try replacing the screw..and go from there... if u have to adjust ur idle manually u should always use the screw not the cable....also i dont know the pattern of ur idle problems but after adjustment..if the problem persists ..it wouldnt hurt to check the iac valve on the back of the intake manifold...good luck
