Ok stock 1.6l engine. Car starts up no problems cold...when its warmed up and I shut the car off sometimes it does not want to start at all unless I keep giving it gas for awhile, then it starts. At idle the car will fluctuate from 1000 rpm to 500 and seem like its going to clunk out. I am thinking it is the alternator because the lights and radio do go dimm when the car is idle. Any suggestions, or am I correct on my assumptions? And how do I test the battery & alt. I have a multimeter. Thanks in advance!!
