Hey all, I'm new to the boards... I got a 95 GSR, and neither of my blinkers are working. I checked the fuse, it was blown, I replaced it with the correct fuse...still nothing. The hazard lights work fine... so i know its not the bulbs or the light unit itself. Any other ideas? Could it be the unit on the steering column? I'm new with actual work on cars...very few hours of wrench time if any, so if you got any ideas be VERY specific. Thanks alot guys!!!

Nah i checked the bulbs the first time,they work great, guess i didn't make that clear. So any other ideas?

 

mabe you have a cut or bad wire somewhere?

 

I had the same thing happen on my old integra. Unfortunatly, I never pursued the solution. It's probably a wiring problem though. Ugh...I hate wiring gremlins.

 

Look for shorts

he just said they hazards work!

 

possibly a bad switch on the steering column. i don't know the way to test it soo you have to look some where eles for that.

 

this may sound retarted - but do you hear an audible clicking noise to indicate that the switch in the stearing column is working?

 

NO i dont. It's a very good point...whcih is why im thinking it might be the steering coumn switch.

 

it probably isn't your steering column, same thing happened to mine. There are two locations for fuses pertaining to the turn signals I believe, one under the dash on driver's side, the other in the under-hood fuse box. I checked under the dash and all was fine and didn't know what the hell was wrong, so I took it to a friend and he pulled a fuse under the hood that was blown, replaced it, and now it works fine.

time to bust out the voltmeter. also check the ground.

 

I checked both fuses already, their both fine. where's the ground located?
