98-01 ITR LIP
alright, i know you guys have probably seen those "type r" lips that they have on ebay for a good $120 bucks or so. my question is, if any of you guys have purchased them and put them on, how are they? do they fit good? do they resemble the actual itr lip? i bought a lip off there recently claiming it's the real type r lip and when i got it today, it's chipping and made of fiberglass. i'm planning on selling it to a ricer at my school who wants it so now, i want to know if anyone has purchased an aftermarket itr lip made of abs plastic and fits well as the real itr and has given them any problems or not? if so, what's the site? help me out here! thanks!

Ive heard that the comptech lip literally comes rolled up in a box like a fruit roll up. Very durable, won't be cracking or anything when you hit your lip on a curb. As for fitment... hey this is comptech we are talking about here.. high quality products

aye seriously though, where might one acquire a new oem itr lip? do they still sell that at any car dealerships?
The reason I'm asking is because I bought a lip off of tweakmeister's (wingswest) group buy a while back and the lip doesn't seem to fit quite as perfectly as I'd hoped. I don't know if you've guys seen an OEM lip off a real Type R but it fits so perfectly. Here's a pic of someone else's car but it pretty much shows some of the gap I find on my car.
Do you think the body shop can resolve this issue? Perhaps with more double sided tape to hold the lip in place? I've seen pictures where people have screwed the lip in near to where the lip is close to the grill; but I'd really like to try to keep the lip looking as clean as possible.
Or is it unfixable and I should try to find a new/used OEM ITR lip? Thanks for any help.

Huh? I know the OEM one sure as hell can't do that.

the OEM lips are made of a different material. The comptech/wings west lips are urethane so you can bend and twist it and it'll still keep it's original form. The thing about the urethane lips is that you have to add (and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong) a couple screws near the grill to make it look as good as the OEM.

I have screws on mine and it helps make it more snug. I'm not sure about other people.

I have been considering buying this:
http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.aspx?id=12976
I don't know how well it fits, the car in the pic looks good, not that that means anything. But for half price I might have to make it fit

i don't know. lips are very tempramental. haha. i would try to find a OEM one or get a comptech one. I don't have any experience with comptech ones, but you get what you pay for. don't complain about being expensive either. no one ever said cars are cheap.

The lip on that black Integra looks really good. Maybe you should wax your car now to compliment the shininess of the lip you added. Maybe it's the pics, but the lip is blingin a hell of alot more than the rest of the car.

Lol..Trust me man my car needs to be waxed so bad.
Let me tell you what happened. I bought some of that "Color Back" because my paint looked bad and for about 2 days the car was blinging. Now I have this milky look, like swirles in the paint. I don't think I did a good job.
Have any suggestions on what I could do to get rid of those swirls? Buff? Hand wax? Swirel remover? Anything b/c my car needs it bad.

I got the WW and it fits pretty good. But i think that as long as it fits somewhat decently then thats all that matters. Cuz its a lip, no one really looks at it closely and over time your gonna scrape it/ curb it anyways. I picked up the WW for $160

Hm..I don't know. I don't think so, they have looked like that for as long as I can remember. I don't recall any uneven wear on my tires nor did Tiny's shop say anything when they put the tires on. I just had those new Kuhmo's put on about two months ago.

Negative. As long as you drive your car like a lowered car and pay attention to big dips or things of that nature you'll be just fine. Take em (dips) at an angle and go slow over bumps. I enjoy the ride of my car. I have H&R's on KYB AGX's. I strongly recomend shocks. As long as you watch out for big dips or things like that you'll be just fine.
But then again you'd have to watch how you drive in any lowered car.
One thing I can tell you is try to stay away from USD's campus. One of my really good girlfriends goes there and when I'm driving through there my DC 4-1 header scrapes!
