Does anyone ahve any experience color matching the gray panels on an Element? I've seen it done. Are they taken off or body filled and painted?

it has been done before...members on hondasuv.com have done it plenty of time. Might wanna check with them

 

I have that picture on my hard drive. I think it looks sooooo much better with the body panels painted.

Apparently, they said it so you could lean your snowboard/surfboard against the side of your car and not have to worry about it scratching the paint. Too bad those plastic panels scratch pretty easily. I think Honda shold offer the E with painted panels.

willis honda in NJ, had a brand new black element with paint matched panels. It was freaking sick. They were charging $1200 more for it or something, which isnt too bad. I tried to talk my dad into it, but the shady salesmans "you can scratch the unpainted plastic, watch "scratches with key"" worked better than my pleas.
