Well I'd say probably 99% of the fast Si's out there are boosted just because of sheer weight.

I however am going the all motor route on mine. I have a passion for N/A Honda's. I am building the engine/car this winter to compete in S/S for Battle Of The Imports. Probably the most cost effective and easiest sanction I can go with.

Not only am I going all motor with an Si, but I am building a B16A2 for all motor as well. Double the hate.

Will make 220whp when finished. Nothing too extreme. After all it's still gotta be streetable.

Unless you are going to get more displacement than 1.6L in the B16 I say turbo.

Bottom line, boost is more power with less work. Hard to get the same power n/a but it can be done and like many have said, there is more respect in doing all motor. The downside to boost it takes a lot of tuning and bad tuning can cost you your motor.

I personally want to go all motor but I also don't need all the power most people want. If I did boost my SI I think I would do a JR Supercharger to be a little different. And not as much lag before power.

You need to sit down and plan out your goals. Do you plan to auto-x, road race, drag race, combo of the three? Do you plan on keeping it street legal? How fast do you want it to be? After a certain point safety, suspension, tire choice, gear ratios all play a very important roll. I'm sorry, but there are a lot of people that think you can build a motor, slap a big turbo on it crank up and boost and go run 10's. Not going to happen. Traction also plays a roll at the track and a huge roll on the streets and generally a turbo'd honda and traction don't exactly go hand in hand with each other. That in itself is probably 80% of the reason why turbo'd honda's get beat by all motor ones.
