Drop-in EF/ED fuel pump?
Simply put, my stock fuel pump is not even coming close to delivering enough fuel for my ITR motor. So I NEED a new pump with greater capacity. The problem is that nobody (and I mean NOBODY) seems to make a pump that is a straight bolt-in to a CRX. All available pumps that I have been able to find are basically 1992+ style pumps that have to be ghetto-rigged into the 1988-1991 bracket. Is there an aftermarket pump available specifically for 1988-1991 cars that drops right in? Is there maybe some OEM pump for another car that would work (like maybe a 1992-1993 Integra GSR)? Or if I MUST use a 1992+ fuel pump, will a 1992+ fuel pump bracket work in a 1988-1991 tank?

Wow can't believe I'm giving storminmatt advice
Easiest way: Get a Holley/walbro 12-917 (94-98 Integra) pump. Change your electrical connectors, reuse your stock strainer and trim the fuel hose a bit, and use the bottom rubber piece. It'll fit. As for ghetto, I just used zap straps to hold it in, (it wouldn't have slipped out though).

Yup the fuel pump selection is one of the many times, the EF gets no aftermarket love. I think Venom makes one, but not really sure. I've got a ITR/GSR OEM pump. I wasn't into a noisy aftermarket ones. The OEM DC2 pumps fit great, as long as you get the bracket, plug, and filter with the pump. And that served my 200whp B18C EF just fine.
I used the 92+ fuel pump with no problems. Use the rubber piece that the fuel pump sits on and the plug w/wire from the 92+ car along with the pre 91 filter. If you have the parts from both in front of you it's easy to do and fits like OEM.
DONT and i mean dont use a inline if u are going to instal it in the interior of the car. when i drive all i hear is wzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ect.

In my ITR CRX Im using a Walbro 255. Most of the fuel pumps are the same, they just need an adapter "kit" to fit your application. It will include connectors, pickup, pick up filter, etc. The EF and DA's use the same adapters, the EG and DC's use the same. Makes sense.
My Walbro can be noisy at times, but then again, its in a 90 HF with barely any dampening material
.
Have fun dropping the tank to gain access to the fuel pump!!! Its a PITA to do fuel pumps in the 4th gens. Run your gas tank low first, and then maybe drain out the rest so you dont have to deal with "sloshing" fuel while you are working on it.
