Default Civic H22 A/C??

I was thinking about swapping an h22a engine into my 2000 honda civic. Does anybody know if you can still have air conditioning after doing this?? If not I would rather swap in a b18c or something smaller. Also, how difficult is the swap?? I know you need a mount kit but other than that is it a direct fit??

I been reading about H22A stuff, and I always see Newman around. You seem like you've done H22A swaps too long haha. How much do you charge for an complete H22A swap out the door nowadays?

-swap difficulty i would say not that hard.

how about an eg?im trying to decide either b18c gsr or h22 but my main concern is im gonna remove the b16 cause i wanna take it to the referee and get it legal so i dont have to worry about trouble in the future. The one thing i really am scared of is cutting the passenger mount for the h22 swap and then wanting to go back to bseries and not having the mount anymore .also ive never done a swap but am pretty confident in doing one, and ive done a clutch install by myself post what u going think i should do....

Search around. You'll see that AC with a H22 swap is common now, PS with the H22 swap is getting common and both have been done numerous times already. Even smogging the JDM H22A motor in the Civic has been done by a couple of members on here. If you "trim" the passenger side framerail (like when using the HCP kit), then you can weld a little 1/4" metal piece back on and redrill the mounting hole if you want to put a B-series motor back in. If you "remove" the passenger side framrail (like when using the Hasport kit), then you have to get another bulkhead mount from Honda and weld it back onto the chassis, in the correct spot on the framerail.

If you've never done a swap, all I can say is do your homework, research it, do lots of searches on here, and you'll pretty much get just about everything covered of what you'll run into.

anyone have pics of a 92 hb si h22a swap with power steering? which one do u use? the original or the prelude one? what mods do u need to do or does it bolt up? if its no big deal to install ill put it on until i get the new rack/pinion w/out the power steering on it. another thing. if i get a/c bracket for the h22a, where am i gonna put the fan for the a/c? do i need to get a smaller condensor or how does that work?
