Northern California Tracks?
Can you guys and girls help me out and list some tracks that are in northern Cali. because I want to try and rent out the track for the day with some of my friends. Do you know if there is something like that in Sacramento or San Jose.
This will be my first time trying to do something like this, so can you guys kinda help me and list what would have to be done. Who to talk to, where to go, how much would it cost, etc... thanks for any help

Sears Point/Infineon Raceway - Sonoma
Thunderhill Raceway - Willows
Laguna Seca - Monterey
Reno/Fernley Raceway - Reno
Buttonwillow Raceway - Buttonwillow, hey, it's not that far
And there is another one in the works for the are around the old Castle Air Force base in the Merced(?) area, 2006 maybe.
Cheapest track to get on track time that I've dealt with is Buttonwillow.

If you're planning to rent out an entire track, you better have a lot of friends (around 60) willing to participate. The cost to rent a track like Laguna Seca (if you can find an available date) can cost upwards of $12,000 a day.
I have a few buddies who usually rent a segment of Buttonwillow Raceway for the entire day. They do this quite often for drift practice. Usually, they get about 20 guys together and split the costs.
Instead, the most practical way to get track time is to join an HPDE/OT event. Relatively low cost and plenty of track time depending on which organization you run with. Here's a list of track days in California for 2003:
