Default Stock oil pressure sensor

Is the stock oil pressure sensor measuring before or after the oil filter?

Knew this wouldn't be that easy.

Anyone have suggestions for installing a sender that will measure pressure after the filter? I imagine someone makes a sandwich adapter with ports for pressure and temperature ports, but I'd like to keep the plumbing to a minimum and avoid relocating the filter.

the stock oil pressure sensor might as well light up a green "$$$" on your dash when it goes off.

Thanks, that should work. I knew I'd seen something like that before, but I couldn't remember who made it.

As for why...

I'd like to switch to a Canton Mecca spin-on filter, and use a pressure gauge to monitor it. A pre-filter pressure sensor won't be much help here.

By the time it lights up, chances are you're already paying for a tear down.
