Aussie Track Day November 9th (PICS - 56K)
G'day all,
The car club I am a member and Club President of - 'Honda Sports Car Club of Victoria' (Australia) - http://www.hsccv.org.au - had it's annual event @ a track called 'Winton Raceway', on Sunday 9th November.
The weather was perfect (28 deg, clear & sunny, with a slight breeze), everyone had plenty of track time (34 cars), instructors were present (to help out the track 'virgins'), passengers were allowed during certain sessions and there were no incidents or 'black flags' required!!
Unfortunately, I did not take my car and wasn't able to drive - but I did go for rides as a passenger and gave driving 'pointers' to various people.... along with helping run the day (ie scrutineering, flagging & stewarding)!!
We had mainly ITR's (DC2 & DC5), S2K's in attendance - with a few CRX's (Desol), Civics, an old Alfa and a pair of old WRX's.... while the Ferrari 355 Challenge pictured, was @ the track on the Saturday (joining in with the 'WRX Club').
Here you go.... this first lot of pictures are from Saturday, when a buddy and I drove up in his white ITR (so we didn't have to get up so early on the Sunday).
FYI - Photos taken with Canon 'G2' (digital) @ 2,272 x 1,704.... reduced to 800 x 600 for the net!
Cheers and enjoy,
-Mark-

YES, indeed it is.... that particular owner has done just over 12,000 kms (~7,500 miles) - which is a lot for a Ferrari - with almost ALL of them on the track (which he drives to/from)!!

*edit* just noticed you sig. not hating just happened to notice it and was wondering if it was an option in AU or aftermarket. since you specifically mention it in your sig that makes me think it's aftermarket.

Thanx for noticing the sig (many don't & I get tired of having to justify to some people, why I have a S/R in my own damn car!).... yeah, you're right - it's an after-market dealer fitted option; as NO ITR's came out of the factory, with them fitted!
The white ITR (pictured), has a rather crappy S/R installed however (he didn't install it, the previous owner did).... compared to my lovely 'Hollandia' one!!

Ahum (cough) That's a DC5S, with Type R stickers. 147Kw instead of 173Kw. 16"inch wheels not 17"....etc. It's a rip-off, in Australia we only get the RSX Type S, but with Racaro's and Type R stickers.
Still, Great Pic's.

Actually, the JDM DC5-R is 162kW, not 173kW.... plus we also miss out on the Brembo brakes!!
