Yes it has a clean title. I know I didn't like bodykits much myself but the hood and kit and everything just fits the car I really like it. Yes it has a real mugen exhaust the guy said he paid almost $900 for it. I am going to check on the loan tommorow so hopefully it will be mine.

You can definately get an LS1 Camaro or TransAM for 11k. Why the **** would you pay that much for a basically stock Civic?

Don't believe me? Check it out:

http://autotrader.com/findacar...&y=17

EDIT: that's within 300 miles of Wooster (BFE), Ohio, too.

I thought timing belt and what not was not necessary til the "90,000 mile maintenance?"

Also how does the car looking with a body kit, and aftermarket hood on 15s? Seems it would look a little weird, but who knows. Post pics!

Sounds like a deal as long as the car isn't hashed and has a clean title. I'm not a fan of the body kit and all but I'm sure you can find factory stuff. I got mine with clean title and 16k miles for $11k bone stock except for the springs, car didn't have a scratch or ding in it.

If you don't mind a reconstructed title I have a friend who builds them for around $8500 and they are immaculate. You would never be able to tell.

So you're calling him stupid? The Honda plant in Marysville is about 45 minutes from my house...not in Japan.

Hmmm. Front-wheel-drive theft magnet with a bodykit or LS1 V8 TransAM with Monsoon stereo system and a ramair hood? Damn...that's a difficult decision .

&lt;=== drives a Honda because he has to pay for college, not because they're "the in thing".

that seems like a good deal. But do a carfax and have a mechanic (maybe urself) or somebody that knows a lot check it out.

Honestly, I would guess that this guy ran the hell out of his car and pushed it.. so you don't know how beat up the engine is.. Check it out tho

Maybe he wants a reliable car? Have you ever driven a camaro? I've driven a friends 1999 Z28 and it was one of the worst handling cars I've ever driven. The front end stops about 8ft in front of you. Honestly I would hate to drive one everday. Shifts are sloppy. Granted they are fast, but not the car for me. Want a list of every problem he had with it before 60K miles? I'd rather have my civic. 156K miles and the biggest problem I've had is the battery died. I think that's expected after 8yrs

Have you ever built a Camaro? Because I have, along with a '79 big block Corvette. I can't warn you not to open this can of worms because I'm already responding to your post, but I guess I can tell you that it only gets worse from here.

Just because you're used to driving a front-wheel-drive Civic (which sucks SO bad at handling, by the way...if you don't realize this you've never driven a car that handles well) doesn't mean the Camaro handles badly. I guarantee that I could tear your Civic a new ******* with the Corvette I built, drag, auto-X or road course. Pick your poison.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The front end stops about 8ft in front of you.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'm assuming you're referring to the long engine compartment that all true sportscars have. This further confirms that you have no idea what you're talking about.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Honestly I would hate to drive one everday. Shifts are sloppy.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Must not have had the Hurst shifter that you can get as an option from the factory. In any event, the shifts aren't any worse than on a D-series civic. Jesus, talk about horseshit shifters. And why would you hate to drive one everyday?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Granted they are fast, but not the car for me.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Because you like slow cars? Got it....

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Want a list of every problem he had with it before 60K miles? I'd rather have my civic.</TD></TR></TABLE>

No, I don't, thank you. I could pull up as many lists as you want of imports that die early or don't last for ****. I work at Valvoline when I'm not at college, and I can tell you some great stories about Honda reliability. Just because Joe Smith's Camaro had a tranny grind and a bad MAF before the 50k mark doesn't mean **** when you look at all Camaros.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">156K miles and the biggest problem I've had is the battery died. I think that's expected after 8yrs</TD></TR></TABLE>

Something about 86whp doesn't stress an engine too much. Honda engines are built pretty well to do what they're supposed to do: get from point A to point B in a relatively slow, reliable, economical manner. I can't see any reason why anyone would pay 11k for a base car that requires at least a couple grand in mods to drop it into the 14's (spraying excluded...Geo's can spray), when you could buy a low 13 second car for just as much, or less, and have an even better platform to build upon.

If you're a broke *** college student (95% of the H-T population who actually own Hondas), it makes sense to have a 4-banger that gets 40mpg and can drive alright in the snow. If you've got disposable income and a real job, it's retarded to get an $11k econobox if you want to have any fun.

WOW, you are retarted.

you get easily mad because alot of people in this world do not like domestics and you try with every sweat out of your *** to defend domestics.

i never said anything about cool powerful domestics, i said that he wants an import over a domestic, never said anything about power or cool stereos with a "awesome!" hood.

you sir have issues and are an ignorant *** that only thinks domestics are for everyone and everyone should own one, you need to loosen up and let people choose what they want...do you go around at malls and tell people what they should wear also?

Oh come on now. That's an easy one. A stock 350 will last a nice little while, but I gaurentee you it will not out last a Honda engine.

Oh really? And what have you built. mullets are fast, I will give you that. Why? Cuz they have 8 cylinders are are RWD. I'll be willing to open this can of worms.

hehe, he said my name.

Actually, this is funny, because now you are going into the overall car, not talking factory.

FR cars have over steer issues that are fixed.
FF cars have understeer issues that are ALSO fixed.

Can I open this can of worms too?

Hmm, this doesn't apply to me, so I can leave that alone.

I actually agree with you that rod shifters aren't good. I don't like 'em that much. But I will tell you V8 shifters are pretty sloppy.

Yep, stock Hondas are slow. Of course depends on what Honda you speak of, and if it's really "stock", because I still consider my car technically "stock."

I'm going to assume you are referring to DSM's, and we'll call it good from there.

Yes, this is true to a point. But I still know for a fact a Honda will out last the reliability of the Camaro. Can I please open this can of worms too?

Maybe, but that is personal preferance, and this topic isn't asking "should I just get a mullet or a slow riceboy econobox"

Have a nice day.

Who's mad? Seems like you're a lot more angry than I am. The "sweat out of your ***" part doesn't make any sense, though.

No, but you said some stuff about an overpriced theft-magnet of a car. My responses apparantly rubed your *** raw because they were logical and well defended.

I don't really know how I'm ignorant (maybe cuz I'm ignorant ), and I REALLY have no idea where you pulled the rest of that statement from. Maybe I'd understand better if you threw some more "everyone's" in that sentence fragment.

I recall the original poster asking if he should buy a 2000 Civic Si for $10,600. I proceeded to answer his question and open his eyes to other, better options. You're the only one here who is posting **** blatantly off topic.

I'm glad you're so upset about my post. Maybe it'll get you thinking about how narrow minded you are and make you a better person. One can only hope for as much.

Peace.

haha, you actually took the time to answer everything i had to say?

you did the same thing to wilsel

and i said that i would buy the car to sell the body kit, becuase those things cost alot of money.

you have problems thinkin that im mad because what would i be mad at?

you CAN be mad at the fact that people are saying bad stuff about domestics and your trying to defend it, but how can "I" be mad?

"oh yes, im mad cause i told him that that guy likes imports of domestics, oh boy im really mad now"
