Soo, you fellas think it would also benefit me to sell my Skunk2 IM and get my stock one bored out by those guys at PYR. And their price only showed $95. Is that correct, or was I seeing things.

Interesting stuff...... A Dyno comparason between a stock ported GSR mani and Skunk2 mani would be cool.

The openings of the intake ports of my head are alot bigger now that I got it back from Alaniz. Not trying to go crazy with it, just have it mate up a little better. I've already matched the inlet to a 70mm TB over the summer. What type of stuff did you use to port yours?

Why leave the ports at all? I've got a GSR mani at home that I'm porting and polishing and I cut out all the internal structures to increase the airflow.

the "stock" butterfly is kept...or u can have them taken out..i think that if u kept them out it would def kill some low end which then defeats the entire purpose of the porting the oem gsr mani...might as well buy the skunk2...n e way..the stock plate for the butterfly is kept unless u want them to fab up a some new plates..meaning with the stock plate there is a slight gap of air that flows past since it is ported..about a 3mm gap total...not bad that some air gets through..but when those secondaries open..kick *** top end and midrange..and good loe end...i feel this is a good investment unless u r serious racer that needs every little once of power up top..then for something like that u might want ITB's or a highly ported skunk2 mani done right..like endyn's ported skunk2 mani

this is the reply i got from pyr when i asked about the $95 price for gsr manifold porting

"For basic porting , the port size stays the same. IF you want it open up for a large bore motor, it'll run you $250. Give me a call if you have any questions.

Peter Yem"

i would prob stop by the place sometimes next week to see what kind if porting i need.
