any drop will give you camber... its just a matter of it being noticeable... bad camber is prolly like 2.5in or lower... id say one finger above tire is about that.

Camber is not what kills tires. Camber can be a very good thing when negative.

Skunk2 or Ingalls camber kits are good.

also depends on how wide your tires are. I lowered my car 2.5 inches with neuspeed springs and have hx wheels and have not noticed any camber problems yet and my car has been lowered for about 3 months with those wheels.

...as long as you're not tucking tire, you'll be fine.

just get an alignment and have the toe zeroed out.

don't worry about spending $$$ on a camber kit that you don't need.

Exactly. Caster and Toe is what eats tires up, not camber. Don't get a camber kit unless you want to run a specific amount of camber or to have the adjustability to run diffent levels for differnt situations.

so what you're saying is any competent alignment place can get it to where i do'nt eat my tires up??? if that's true then why does everyone that drops their car a lot go out and get a camber kit??? do they just not know any better??? explain this to me please, i'm interested to hear the explaination...

Yes that is correct. Just have them 0 out caster and toe. I run 0 caster and toe and -2 degrees front and -1.25 degrees in the rear. Been running that set-up for two years now. Used probably 3-4 sets of tires and they wear as even as the number 2.

so you still have to buy tires every 6 months??? what tires are you running??? do they just wear out quickly or something cause that doesn't seem like a very long time for a set of tires to last...

I just drive alot. I have owned the car for two years and in those two years put roughly 36,000 miles on it. I also am on my 3rd set of Falken Azenis. I ran Pirelli P700Z's for about 8000 of those 36000 miles which I sold on the stock wheels with still 50% life left. My 3rd set still has 60% treadlife left. I get roughly 10-12000 miles on a set of azenis which is pretty good. That includes tons of drag miles, auto x and HPDE miles as well.

If you don't want the camber/toe combo to eat up your brand new tires then you should probably leave about a two finger gap between rim/fender and make sure to get an alignment. Alignment is VERY important if you want to preserve your tires.

Also, camber kits are garbage IMO, their designs will mess up your strut tower bars, i've had ingalls, and skunk2 camber kits and both times they ripped holes through my strut towers. It's werid because they are designed to prevent camber, and the lower you go the more camber you get and the worse the camber kit works as it just makes holes in the metal.

well, when i got my wheels the car was already lowered and i put them on at the end of may of this year and just recently, within a month, the front two tires blew out bc i didnt get the camber on in time...

i did purchase a skunk 2 camber kit shortly after buying the wheels but it was stolen out my trunk over night along with the rear camber i had in there and my intake was taken out of my engine ... and right in front of my house too... anyhow i cant express it enough, get a camber kit when you lower the car, i learned my lesson the hard way ... i had to rebuy the skunk 2 camber kit and the rear also, really sucked . . . anyhow they are all on there now sooo....

i just got my new suspension in bc my old one sux and i didnt buy shocks ... so they got blown anyhow im redoing the entire suspension and riding on my stock wheels in the front bc i dont wanna re-blow the old tires ... A BIG PAIN IN THE ***!!! TRUST ME!!

and after that i gotta get it aligned and so sometime within a week or so i should be all straight but trust me its so much easier to do it all at once...

money can be an issue, alignment is very important, once you start to see wear on the inside of your tires, you know your too low without a camber kit

How low is your car? I've been running the Skunk2 kit and Ingall's now for a LONG time with no problems what so ever.

For ~$140 Firestone offers a lifetime alifgnment plan.

Whenever you feel the need, toss them the keys and they'll align it free. (No questions asked).

Just a little FYI.
