My revs cut out at 3000 rpms. I've changed the ECU, distributor, wires and plugs and i can't seem to figure out the problem. If anyone has any ideas or have seen this before please let me know because i can't figure it out.

 

You need to check the light on your ecu to see what engine codes you have, it sounds like you have a few of them.

 

I checked the codes and all i'm getting is a 1 and 4. those are O2 sensor and crank angle i dont believe thats gonna control my rev limiter. i'm pretty sure i have all of my vaccums lines right. i'm really stuck on this one.

Yes, that's very important.. you might want to fix the codes.

 

YEAH, I MIGHT AS WELL FIX THAT BEFORE MESSING WITH ANYTHING ELSE, RIGHT.

 

I STILL FEEL LIKE THERE IS MORE TO IT THAN THOSE CODES. DOES ANYONE HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF WHAT IS GOING ON.

Yes, your ecu can't operate the engine properly unless it knows the position of the crankshaft. You need to find out if it’s wired up correctly and/or if the sensor itself is working right.

Give your ecu every thing it needs to run your engine right and it will.
