Good HID, Bad Projectors?
I just bought some new HIDs (Brightstar kit). I tested them before I installed them, and they looked fine. However when I put them in my headlights, the passenger side gave off a slight yellow glare onto the road. I swapped the bulbs and the passenger side still gave the yellow glare. My car is a 94 Integra, so do I need new projectors to fix this problem?
Also, where can I find an HID sheild for a 9006 bulb?

The shield is already inside the projector housing, none needed for the bulbs.
I've never heard of brightstar, I suspect the bulbs do not sit in the proper position inside the housing to get the correct beam pattern. Also, are they D2S bulbs?

Where did you get the Brightstar kit? I've never heard of it. I've heard stories of people with Catz HID that have had this same problem. To my knowledge, there is no fix since there is no way to adjust the glare shields in the teg's projectors. I'm running a Philips 4300k kit with D2S bulbs, and my 94 teg headlights produced no yellow glare (just bright white glare
). I'm running the same HID kit in 2000 teg headlights now, and the beam pattern looks even better. There is no "HID shield" for a 9006 bulb, besides, that won't fix your problem. Replacing the entire projector may be the only option if you can find one for a decent price...

When you say D2S, does that refer exclusively to Philips bulbs? Or is that referring to the type of bulb (meant for projector housings)? I know these are not Philips bulbs. Brightstar makes all their own equipment I think.
I heard of them through importhookup.com and their website is

D2S is specific to projector headlights, not Philips. Many different brands make D2S capsules.
