4speed to 5speed conversion in 88 hatch base model???

4speed to 5speed conversion in 88 hatch base model???
ok, i am probably overthinking this one a ton here, but like the topic says...
i just bought a beater *** 88 hatch for 400$, no rust and clean body! It has a four speed, i use my 90 Si to pull my trailer w/ raptor. I dont think the four speed has the lower gearing to pull my quad anywhere near efficiently.
What is all needed to swap the 5 speed tranny on it? Will the 4 speed shift linkage fit a 5 speed tranny? Does the ECU play any roll in this? What about the mounts? Obviously if i get a 89-up trans ill need the 89-up clutch disc, since the 88 is the oddball size.
Like i said, i may be over looking this, but it doesnt hurt to ask!
