Default universal hks carbon ti muffler

hey, im new to this board and have been reading around and searching for a while before i actually decided to make a post. anyways i was browsing around and saw the hks carbon ti muffler and really like the way it looked. i was thinking about getting it and just getting some custom piping done, but the specs on it says 75mm/pipe 120mm tip. im sorry if i seem like a retard, but what size piping would go with the muffler? not really conserned about the tip but if u wanna tell me thats cool. oh yea i plan on going with a turbo set up in the near future. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

You would want 2.25" piping.

I looked it up, 75mm = 2.9inches

What kind of engine do you have?

If you plan on getting a turbo exhaust, wait till you install a turbo first.

if 75mm equals 2.9",you'd want to go with 3" piping for the turbo....but,like was said below, that 3" exhaust is gonna hurt you until you're actually turbo.

this is just plain bad information. why would you ever want 2.25" piping for a turbo car? I wouldn't even run that on a NA car. turbo car you should have 2.5" to 3".

3 inch piping will work great.

I have a friend with the whole HKS cat back exhaust on his 94 Supra, and a friend with cat back on her WRX.

Sounds MEAN

Haven't seen one on a Civic yet

to answer your question.....
yes a good muffler shop can make 3" piping fit that muffler. They would just need to make a flange to connect the piping because the size is a little off.

there is no reason a quality muffler shop cant weld 3" piping to it.

good luck

if you're looking for a nice exhaust, Thermal R&D makes a 3" exhaust for Hondas and Acuras... specially designed for turbo setups.

if your going turbo at least a 2.5 inch exhaust restriction is your worst enemy, it might be loud and annoying but its worth it
