ok you an lock this topic but atleast one person respond im a nervous wreck im 16, my first ticket, but i got screwed over. please hear me out. ok its raining i got my slicks on. im in sonic. im leaving. stop sign. i go into first gear alittle to fast and my tires spin because no grip to ground,no tread on tires, there worn out, i freak. i quickly shift into second, ****. i reved in nuetrol. missed second gear.i freak. finaly i go back to first and it kicks off, im finally moving i take a right. my dash lights are out. the speedlimit is 30. i tihnk im doing the speed limit because te van in front of me. all sudden sirens come on. i pull over. cop comes out. hes cursin and bein all bitchy. now get this,,,,,i say im sorry i didnt know i was speeding, he says now hold up you dont even know what i pulled you over for, and then i said oh well i didnt know i was speeding, then goess well dont worry because i got you for spinning your tires and showwing your *** at that stop sign back there (showing my ***, no one was even around! not to mention if he had good ears that wasnt revn i missed the gear. stupid fat donut muncher)and then i said oh wel my tires were worn out my dash light was out and i had no clue the speed i was going and i told him i was nervus, then he butts in ad goes ohhh your dash light was out, well i clocked you going 50 in a 30, in fact im going tobe nice here and let the other go, but i expect you in court with a parent, and i want u to know im writing this ticket for goin 50 in a 30 an that is almost wreckless driving, so be happy i didnt write you up for that. ok anyway i pull out and leave. now if i was going 50, then the van in front of me had to be doin 60 or 70 bc it was like 5 car lengths ahead of me, so i sure as hell wasnt speeding. wtf do i do about this? if i take it to court how do i proove anything? anyway thanks...

 

Go to court, and tell the judge that this was your first offence, and ask for community service, then it wont go on your record, this worked for me when I got my first ticket. Goodluck

Just take defensive driving. They will take it off your record. When you call to find out about the ticket ask the receptionist about it. She will fill you in.

 

You aint screwed. The most youll get iz a fine or maybe some community service. What you could do when you get ta court is see if you can argue a point. Did he pace you, did he clock you, damn cop sounds confused. But i doubt SUSPENSION will even come up.

 

Did he show you the radar gun, to prove that you were indeed speeding?

 

Man you shuda swung open your door and beat the **** outa him. Then tied up his hands and feet and tried to stick a chicken egg up his *** without breaking it.......oh wait, what movie is that from

 

Do what everyone else said: community service, pleed with the judge, etc. Also, look to see if there are any mistakes on the ticket the officer gave you. I got out of a ticket before because the cop wrote on the ticket that my car was green ,but it is black. The case was dismissed. Look for any mistakes he might have made. You said it was raining. Did the cop write that in the "road conditions" section of the ticket? Did he accurately describe your vehicle? Did he write the corect time, date, etc, etc? Did he record your license number? You'd be surprised how many mistakes they often make, but then again it isn't like cops are the smartest bunch in the first place.
