but what kind of fitting do i need to make that work with the factory fuel line going to the filter?

i already have one going from the filter to the rail..

if i bought that i would eliminate the stock fuel filter all together, or you could have 2 filters to ensure clean fuel,and since thats an inline i would put that before the stock filter on the underside of the car by purchasing 2 barb fittings that would fit the stock line, i have bought 2 of the barb fittings that have that fuel filter thread with the correct barb size for the stock line at home depot, or you could put that filter after the stock one, by doing the same thing, but you also should think about fuel flow restriction, dont know how well it would flow with 2 filters, but like i said i would do away with the stock one all together, pop the stock fuel filter off and get a fitting to fit thatn stock hard line with a barb on it and go to the fuel rail.......good luck with that dude.......

 

Why do you want to get that? Stock works fine. IMHO more trouble than it's worth to try to get that one to work.

yeah my friend's 94 gsr has a prob with his old fuel filter so i'm going to give him mine...

so i was just wanting to find the size from the factory line (at the bottom of the filter) so i can get a female to female connector to hook up to that Earls fuel filter...

 

anybody? what size is the fuel feed pipe's size...so i can buy a female/female adapter..

If you goto http://www.anplumbing.com, they have it for 27 bucks and change....along with all the fittings you would need...

 

I was wondering somewhat the same thing. Back when I had a 1G DSM the stock fuel filter was a major bottle neck in fuel delivery. Not to mention the supply line as well. If I look at the Honda fuel filter .. it looks the same as the DSM filter. Has anyone ever tested the stock fuel filter to see if it flows enough for our application?

Boosted Hondas putting down hundreds of fwhp run stock fuel filters, so I'm sure it's fine. Just go to Napa and buy a new one for around $20.

 

Its more trouble then its worth.

oh yeah, when we were changing my friends fuel filter the spray hit my gf who was like 10ft away. she wasnt too happy

yeah, my first time changing one out it caught me in the eye. Talk about pain.

Words of advice: open the gas cap to releave some of the pressure then put a rag on top of your wrench/ratchet. There WILL be gas spray! It helps if one person holds a rag and one person loosens the bolt.

 

heheheh size on bottom is 18 x 1.5 mm... same as drain plug and o2 sensor

We want to help you with your project by selling you the right parts. I'm not quite sure where you got the 230106 from, but it is not right for your application. That part has a bronze element for a filter, that only flows 4-5 gallons per hour, and is designed for carburated applications where the pump only puts out 5-7 PSI. Fuel injected Honda engines are pressurized at no less than 45 PSI depending on the engine. The problem is that the bronze will disintegrate and the particles will clogg-up the injectors. The Honda factory filter is very good unless you are making power in excess of 250 HP. Let us know, what you want to do and we will set you up with the right stuff. We can even supply you with parts that allow you to use braided hose with the factory filter.

The hose that is connected to the fuel filter clamp, what is that for? I believe it's a clear-red hose.

 

What is a "Banjo Bolt"

Will a standard 12mm wrench with box end work or is a special tool needed?
