rear defog is shot
**** just found this out a couple of days ago with the comming of the 1st snowfall and cold weather and **** that my rear defog dont work. I got my car tinted ovr the summr i had a previous tint on there and they took it off for me and in the prpcess fucked up my rear defog now only 2 of the wires work both at a level that doesnt benefit my visiblilty. how easy if at all possible is it to replace the rear defog. damn that pisses me off but i dont want to go to the shop and bitch at them because my bro's roomate hooked me up and they were doing me a favor full 5% tint for $170 professionally done so i guess im up **** creek without a paddle
I guess you couldn't have found out at a worse time with the weather getting colder and colder by the day. Start saving your pennies and get yourself new glass for the rear hatch. You'll be glad that you did, it's just as important to see what's behind you as it is in front.

The shop would have done you a favor had they done the job for $170 and not break anything. Now you're out the money AND a working rear defroster. A few bad wires on the grid and it would be assumed that the owner broke it, but only a few left working after having a shop remove old tint means the shop screwed it up. If you have it documented in a receipt that they removed the old tint, it wouldn't be a stretch in court to determine that they owe you for the cost of repair/replacement. Don't let yourself be screwed or more shops like that will stay in business...

unfortunatley i dont have a reciept since the tint is illegal it was cash only. but im sure i am in there computer b/c he said if it even bubbles or antything just come back an we'll fix it. so buying the rear glass is the only way to fix it?
If you can find out where the lines are bbroke you can buy stuff to repair the broken circuits, but that will mean removing the tint and possibly damaging more or the lines
