Default foliatec

has anyone tried that foliatec spray paint?? i want to paint my valve cover white and since i dont have the money to powdercoat it, that costs at least a couple hundred right??, i figured i'd paint it.

I used it exactly as they said to on my calipers and it sucked. After about 3-4 months the color started to fade and after a year they were chipping and nasty. I re-did them using some dupli-color high temp engine paint for like $4 a can and they look as good now as when I did them close to a year ago. So save your money and juist buy some high temp paint instead. You also want to make sure you clean your valve cover as good as possible...I used LOTS of brake clean on my calipers to make sure they were ok for painting.

thanks for the tip, i can get that duplicolor stuff at a hardware store like home depot right?? and do you think i should peel off the existin paint off of my valve cover because its already chipping
