Default **Clutch pedal is making some squeaking noises when depressed** uh oh

OK, well as of Friday night, when I push my clutch pedal in (whether I'm in gear or not, car on or off, moving or parked), it feels like it is rubbing something and makes a noise that sounds a lot like the seal around the thingy-ma-bob is going bad maybe.. you know what i mean? lol There is a shaft connected to the clutch pedal, the part that actually does the work, and there is a rubber seal around it at the firewall. I think the seal is dry or maybe worn out... is that possible, or do I have a real problem on my hands? I replaced my clutch master and slave cylinders about a year ago... What should I do? Spray some WD40? ANy suggestions would be great! Thanks!
