R-SPEED/NASA LimeRock HPDE 11/10 (56K)
Hey guys, it was absolutely a THRILL being there today. It was definately the most fulfilling driving experience i've ever encountered, it was my first time yet I feel I've walked away from this experience knowing alot more about car control and proper track technique... BANG for your BUCK right here baby!

to my instructor Jake Fisher, it was your lines I "took over" that let me catch up to everyone and in turn not needing to point anyone by even once!
THANK YOU most of all to everyone that came, you guys created a really comfortable atmosphere all day long that would have been hard to duplicate if everyone showed up with their ego's, etc intact. You guys ROCK!!! (you know who you are!)
Anyways here are my pics, I encourage everyone to share what they've collected throughout today!

What car is this?

My show kaahh!

Glad you guys had fun
And kept your ego's in check and realized an HPDE is about learning and not racing...
Congrats and I hope more pics will show up.

the downhill is sick, and scary lol. If you carry too much speed and miss the apex by just a few feet then you can easily get 2 off heading down the straight. scary stuff but fun at the same time
My first session I think I was only getting to about 100mph at the end of the straight. but by the end of the day I was hitting closer to 120mph (tach indicated of course) which means I was taking the downhill much better than earlier in the day.

I'm amazed at how mental driving the track is. All I kept thinking was "My car can do it but my mind can't". Anyway, I think the fastest I went at the end of the straight was ~115-120ish. A few times I carried 80mph through the downhill
I really regret having 3 separate instructors. Each of them gave me diffrent lines to follow and such, but the 3rd (Will) was awesome - he had the gray BMW 5 series.

i was commin down the downhill at about 90-95 depending and only gettin 100-102 down the front straight. but thats 10mph better than the last time i was there with my car all stock (70hp, 4speed, stock sus)

I never really noticed how much speed I was carrying on the downhill. I know I was pretty much on the brakes halfway down the hill and didnt accelerate until after the apex. I was too scared lol and just concentrated on staying left and keeping my eyes on the apex then looked down the front straight. My biggest fear of the day was going too wide on the downhill, my car felt like it was struggling through there and it was more bumpy then I expected which added to my fear.
Tapped the brakes right after the downhill started, eased in the throttle, full throttle through the apex and all the way down the straight until marker 3
Keep in mind my "full throttle" is slower than yours! I only got about 105 on the straight.. but late threshold braking for big bend OWNED! THANK YOU COBALT!
Where the hell are the rest of your pics guys!

this was the 1st time i tried staying in 4th from cresting the uphill to starting the straightaway. i still brake too much before heading downhill, but i found i needed 5th a few time by the end of the front straight.
i also removed the dust shields from the front rotors which seems to help tremendously.
for all the noobs breaking their track cherries yesterday!
