nothing really

switch out the shift linkages and use the GSR linkage. But I think the Civic one will work.

Also to add, you can use the same clutch assembly, but swap the throwout bearings... or just put in a new one. You can reuse the same starter also. Basically the casings are the same for the most part so everything will plug/bolt right on over from the GSR to B16 tranny. The B16 tranny on a GSR motor feels great with better acceleration.

Don't waste your time with any longer gears. Longer gears are useless on our torqueless cars. Suck it up and deal with the 2-300 rpm higher you will be on the highway.

the LS 5th gear requires the use of the LS 4.266 final drive, rather than the 4.4 fd in the b16 and b18c trannies... which kinda defeats the purpose of getting a b16 tranny. Well, imo, the best reason for getting the b16 tranny is the spacing of the 5 forward gears is almost perfect (and are the same as the ITR if you didn't know already)

Dude, if you don't know how to take apart or take out a tranny, I wouldnt be changing gears if I were you. Keep the b16 5th. If you really want to put a longer gear in, PM me. I can install the gear for you.
