Crx starter gone crazy????
I have a 1991 base crx automatic with 113,00 miles. I was driving down the highway at around 80 miles an hour for about 1 hour and i stopped to get gas. I shut of engine fueled up and when i restarted car the car started but the starter kept turning over. I immediately shut the car off and the starter kept turning over, i then pulled the key out but it kept turing over, i had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. I pulled the ignition line of the starter and then reattched the battery but it still kept turning. I was towed home and i took the starter to two places who tested it and they say its good. Has anyone heard of this happening and should i replace the starter, the ignition switch both or something else?(relay...etc Any help appreciated. If it is ignition can't i just put a kill switch on the ignition line and turn the key, flip the switch once the car starts just flip switch off?

that exact same thing happend to my 84. I just replaced the starter and it stopped.
soon after I wrecked it and the salvage guy told me that there was nothing salvagable so I know where you can get a starter.
