As the topic states...and also I'm wondering if 88 axles will work in an 89

 

flywheel goes on engine, not on transmission - axles, depends on what model axles in what model car

I know that...it still has to fit the transmission though...and they are 88 CRX Si axles and will be going in an 89 CRX Si

 

Axles should work fine. I believe you can use that flywheel as well. I think the flywheel that won't work is the 88.Try looking up part numbers and double check if the 89 is different from the 90+

 

im sure that 90-00 sohc flywheels will all fit. but in doing this, you need to put a 90-00 clutch on it. its an upgrade option for the 89

 

i had the same question kind of ...

i have a 90 crx tranny
an 89 flywheel
and an 90-91 act clutch ..

will this work ? .. i wasnt sure if the flywheel would hook up right or not .. i know the 88 doesnt ....

No. 88,89,90-00 flywheels are different. 90-00 are bigger than 88, 89 is slightly bigger than 88.

Sorry for the confusing post.

What I mean to say was that:
88 flywheels have a smaller clutch (190mm)
89 flywheels have a larger clutch (200mm)
and 90-00 have the largest (210mm)

Not 100 percent sure on the exact mm measurements here, but you get the idea.
