Really? well the one on my '02 has a ball type hanger on the gas cap. What does the '04 one look like? I'm sure they wouldn't change a small thing like that for '04. And plus, it's not like it wasn't working.

The subtle change here in Japan. The windshield washer nozzles are body matched color. Instead of just being a generic black. That was the only change to the Type R. The iS got a new interior color, washer nozzle and 1 more thing I can't think what it is at the moment. Basically the car is unchanged whatsoever.

I expect for next update for the RSX to have a much better interior...optional hids, power seats, optional NAV. Maybe a 10-15 hp bump. Currently the RSX looks nothing like any other new acura out there...it looked more in line with the old TL/CL.but now it looks like an odd apple....so it is going to get a redesign to probably look like a 2 door TSX...with TSX style interior/lighting. Just watch...or if worse comes to wrose the next redesign of RSX will end up being in a honda line up as maybe the prelude.
All specualtion but I think most of it is achievable</TD></TR></TABLE>
I don't see them doing all that since the model only has about a year of life left.
I'm hoping for a return to 4-wheel double wishbone suspension and a significant weight reduction for the next generation RSX. To hell with frilly crap like HIDs and fancy interiors.

It will surely go longer than 4 years given their past history with the Integra IMO, and no one has said anything about a redesign.
As for weight reduction, please name me one OEM that has actually made the next model of the car lighter.

I agree. MK Ultra had wishful thinking, but i really don't see why Honda would do that. It's not like the DC5 chassis is NOT selling. The weight is attributed to the stiffer chassis on the DC5 compared to the DC2. I'm not saying all the weight comes from the stiffer chassis, but a lot of it does. I see at least 2 more years with this chassis/body before honda will make a major change.
