What's the difference between yellow and red? Neither flashing.

green = good

yellow = getting near maintenance time

red = at or over maintenance.

this is used by your mileage. it will turn red at 7500 miles because that is the factory reccommended time to change your oil. to reset it take your master key (the black one) and press it into the slot pushing the button in. hold it until it turns green.

 

ok so, the car is at around 75k. Why would the yellow come on. I do all the oil changes and so forth.

 

well if it is about at the 3000 mile mark then the light would come on due to an oil change being needed soon. when you reset the light, it just counts down all over again from 7500 miles to 0. when it gets to 0 it goes completely red. until then it just changes slightly over the miles.

 

and what button?
