Default 5cyl Motors

hey guys. I got a 92 Acura Vigor, it has a Inline 5cyl motor. I just wanted some comments, thoughts and any experience with these motors. What you guys think of them? My motor has 260,000km on it and it still pulls strong!!

Here are some pics of the engine

they're supprsingly stong for what they are

there's not much you can do with them though.

best chance would be to get a #2 Legend motor or something.

legend was the first import that could go 150mph in the US

Well she's clean as **** I'll give you that. I like the Vigor alot. I was looking for one as a daily at one point. Probably settle on a legend though due to availability of car and spare parts.

Hondas Motogp bike runs a 998cc v5. Never heard of any car that used a v5 though.

That's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title.

How would a V5 motor look like anyways? 2 cylinders on one side, and 3 on the other? Weird.

Who's up to sleeve an Inline 5, with custom forged pistons/rods and throw on a phat turbo? What's the displacement on these things anyways?

1992 Acura Vigor 4door GS/LS trim:
Inline 5 cylinder

-2.5 liters
-176 HP, 170 ft/lb torque
-FWD (lol, it looks like RWD from loookin at da engine bay )
-curb weight of car, 3150-3200 lbs..
-available as 5spd and automatic
-20 mpg city/26 mpg highway.

Man.. this thing must be pretty peppy.

I wonder how much compression the pistons are at, what it's engine code is, and what it's redline is

there actually pretty slow, my friend has one and he got spanked by a friend in a 92 buick regal. I went in both cars and the regal pulled 2 cars each time and the regal was stock and the vigor had an intake and a crappy exhaust, both autos. Still 176hp to a 3200lb car is a terrible power/weight.

They remind me of a snake for some reason
