Got some TEIN SS's. What else do i need?
Ok, someone hooked me up with a new set of TEIN SS's for $650 BRAND NEW
! What else do i need(camber kits? sway bars, etc)? I'm willing to spend a lot to get it right the first time. i have an 00 SI and the suspension hasn't been touched.
oh yeah, and i'm only gonna lower it about 1.5 inches around and plan to put it on the stiffest setting. Lots of pot holes.
thanks a lot!

nice pickup
install your new suspension and look for a nice set of sway bars. your choice maybe a Suspension Tech front/rear kit. (thats what I have) then mabye stiffen it up a little more with some strut bars and lower tie bars. check out JIC they have some really nice carbon fiber strut bars
(also what I have)

potholes+ stiffest setting= BAD IDEA. if u have real stiff suspension and your hittin a lot of potholes u could probably break somthin maybe even bend your frame.u dont wanna roll through potholes on a real stiff setting.

Tein recommends you put it on the middle setting for the first couple weeks... any damages that may result from not putting it here is your fault.
Ok, to the guys asking me how i got such a great deal...
My Buddy has a cousin that works at Tein and they wanted to get rid of some. So, it was more like a clearence sale.
So, all i really need are sway bars?
on me for saying i would put them on stiffest settings because of potholes, sorry i wasn't htinking.

yeah put them on the middle setting for a week or so. make sure you get an alignment when your done. also, it's very likely that your one or more of your lca bolts are seized, and you'll need new bushings and the bolts before the install if so.
you really dont need a camber kit for a 1.5" drop, but if your either **** about your tires, or want to autox competitively, i'd suggest one.
f/r swaybars, a rear tie bar, poly bushings, and f/r strut tower bars is about it.

it is toe that wears out tires, not camber.

Finally a respectable authority downing camber kits. There are so many products on the market that can improve our cars, yet so many people drop there cars an inch and a half and get caught up in things like camber kits to waste 150 bucks on. Just rotate your tires
