Default Found an LS/Vtec

I know of a guy in my area selling an LS/Vtec engine for $1800, comes with B18a1 Block, B18c1 head, B16 pistons, eagle rods, act clutch (brand new) GSR tranny. Does this sound like a good deal? Comes with everything to install it.

Hell yes jump on that ****...as long as it runs fine its a great deal...many LS/VTEC's are put together poorly though, but that setup is worth way more than the asking price

it hasn't actually been run yet, but he's built around 3-5 of these engines before and they've all come out perfect, putting him in the low 14's in a 92 hatch.

I just wasn't sure if that was a decent price or not... looks like I should start saving my pennies

low 14s...thats it? With that setup I would expect atleast 13s. I run a 13.7 in my car (1992 Si - fat pig) with a gsr motor with very very few mods (Skunk2 Intake manifold, HeaderTech header, and Kenji ECU).

well, when he ran at the track with a similar setup, he was slipping through 3rd gear on street tires and shitty track. So I'd imagine, since the track has been newly renovated, I should be able to get some better times. He ended up running a 14.3.
