Firs you have to decide if you wanna go turbo or not if not then build the block sleave it pistons rods rings etc with 12.5.1 comp if your gonna go turbo do the same to the block but with like 9.5.1 comp and if your going all motor do skunk2 stage 2 cams valves springs and retainers should put you in he 12's remember fast is not cheap

Id gut the **** out of the car, try a good well known combo for low compression and throw a 125shot on there with the obvious i/h/e/ecu and slicks.

One of the cheapest combos

Make sure you don't detonate, about the best thing you can do with any build up, otherwise your build can go to **** within a spilt second...

turbo y0...it depends...me personally would rather build it all motor instead of turbo...you gotta know what your doing if your tryin to build a 12 second crx. b18c is a good motor to do it with.

A friend of mine ran a 12.99 with a JDM B18C, I/H/E, Cams (I think) and slicks. Good driving = most important part.

Drag Turbo Kit (15-20psi)
Inline Pro headgasket
Apexi VAFC (hours of good tuning)
MSD btm

I'll assume you already have basic stuff like exhaust and suspension. You can do it for about $4500 with all new parts and a lot cheaper if you pick all this stuff up used

and I wouldn't gut the car .....there's only like 40 pounds of interior in a CRX anyway, lol. I would gut if it was my beater project race car, but otherwise keep the stock interior!

Honestly, it doesn't take much more than a good turbo setup with great fuel management.
