Default B16 compression buildup

im going for the s2 s2 setup but i wanted to know what is the best way to build up my compression since the cams make the most power if there is high comp. pistons? rods? milled head? thinner head gasket? im trying to get into low 11 or mid 11.

Ctr Pistons. That should get you close to the minimum compression needed for these cams.

as posted in your other thread on CSI if you ever checked it....
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">it can be done w/ a stock block, i did it w/ milled head, 2-layer headgasket. another way would be to weld the combustion chambers to the p-72/pent-roof design..

you shouldnt have clearance issues w/ that, I dont, but you could def. be screwing yourself if you wanted to do some bottom end work in the future( milling the head is irreversible)

if you wanted to stick w/ oe internals and raise the compression, you could go w/ ctr pistons and mill your stock rods.

however, the most ideal way of making power w/ raised compression is to go with aftermarket internals, because they are lighter, (lighter = more power)more power friendly design, etc. OE rods can support just about any amount of power NA & most boosted applications can make, but the downfall being small & weak rod bolts. Also, most aftermarket wrist/pin designs will not fit on oe rods, and are also much stronger. In terms of brand everyone has their fav. pics, for me it's a probe rod/wiseco piston... </TD></TR></TABLE>
