Alright I have a 2000 si and my front lip just got scratched the other day. I was turning in a parking lot and i guess i didnt clear the curb....Now there is a lil part that is scratched. I might as well get it painted cause it has a lot of nicks from rocks and stuff. My question is when i get the lip back to new status, is there some kind of protective clear film i can put on it so the rocks wont chip it...Also my car is lowered and the lip sometimes scrapes on large inclines, is there some way of protecting the bottom of it too? Any help is appriciated...TIA

 

I think rock chips are just a way of life unfortunately.

I guess the thing to do is to just drive as carefully as possible. Maybe get some good touch up paint

 

I was thinking maybe that film that comes on the benz's front end....its like a clear piece that sticks on....

 

like the one on audi's a4, all around the lower body but it's grey..lol

anyway, what about those clear headlight protecting film?

i kinda accepted all those ageing damage..

 

what you want is called starshield, its a protective film coating that goes on the whole front end and its quite expensive

 

Its just I see cars that are the same year and there lip looks brand new....I hate 18 wheelers and those dump trucks....
