Default PLEASE HELP! Got My Stolen Car Back But I Need a DX 1.5 liter Distributor

I haven't had much luck except I got my car back. unfortunately it was missing $4000+ in stereo, CD's, wheels and tools. Then I totaled my motorcycle and got busted up pretty bad. I had bought a distributor off a board member here but it was no good??? He sold me a 1990 D15 for my 89 DX 1.5 liter HB. My distributor has a visible condenser. The one I bought didn't? I was told a 88-91 DX or LX would work? is this right?

Does anyone have one they can sell me cheep? I am living on disability of only $770 month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

did you try the 1990 distributor? that condenser is for radio noise only. the dist should still work.

Would an 88 HF one work or are they different because of MPFI?

I have one from a 90 CRX DX. Guaranteed working. I swapped to a D16A6 a month ago. Let me know. It does have a visible condensor, like yours.

It may just be a bad igniter or ignition coil (most common problem). If you have one from any 88-91 civic distributor they are interchangable, it's the actuall housing/bearings and pick up sensors that are different.

The car would not excellerate with the old distributor in like it wasn't getting enough gas (sputering and back firing) When I checked the codes it was throwing it was showing a bad crank angle sensor. could a bad igniter or ignition coil be throwing that code?

Thanks

That code means that if one of the pickup sensors in the Distributor Housing is bad, take the igniter and coil out of that distributor and put it in the one you bought off the board member it should work. I've pieced together many distributors for the different EF's I've owned.

Contact Vinceg99 he says he's got some for a cheap price. He's a good seller to boot. I've dealt with him before. Got product on time and in promised condition.
