Post your custom sub/amp installs...
Im in the midst of working out my sub/amp layout (trying to figure out where in the hell Ill put everything) and wanted to see what everyone else came up with. Ive seen everything over at s2ki.com but wanted to see if anyone pulled off something different over here. Im afraid of getting rid of the spare tire, but I think that may be my only option. I gotta mount a Visonik mids/highs amp, and some sub amp. As of right now, I think Im gonna put a one of those small Sony hexagonal amps inside the spare tire, and the mids/highs where the tools are, and Lucids custom box over that. Temperature will be an issue, I guess Ill just stick a bunch of fans in there, but its pretty much my only option.

go to http://www.s2ki.com and look in their forums. they have a electronics/audio forum and inside you'll find a post that has several custom I.C.E. setups

Just FYI, JBL is coming out with a set of subs (12 inch) that are only going to be 3 inches thick! That would be perfect for a car the size of the S2K. You might be able to mount something that thin under your seat or possibly behind the seat...
BTW I read about this subs in October or November's issue of Popular Mechanics...can't remember which one...

299 a piece I believe the mag said...not too bad considering the size of the sub. I know it's still substantially more than a standard sub though. So a good system could be had for around 1500 or so and that's including a new deck.
im going to have my friend lay a custom fiberglass box inside the spare tire
then im going to use the best 8" i can find
right now im using the rsx type s sup, its OK for now
