ZC Swap Question
I am picking up a 1991 Civic Hatch on Tuesday (Not sure if its a CX or DX model). I found my self a ZC complete kit in good shape for $400. Now what I am wondering is if there are any special parts needed to do this swap (engine mounts, wireing) anything at all, or if this is all straight bolt on work??
Thanks
Thanks
I'm not familiar with canadian models, but if its a dx I know for sure you will need to convert to mpfi. Search for "mpfi swap" and you should find TONS on it.
If the cx is already mpfi then its pretty much a striaght drop in. You need to wire the dizy color to color then with the 2 spare wires run them to the sensor on the exhaust cam of the ZC (assuming this is a dohc, if its sohc there shouldnt be any wiring at the dizzy).
Also if its a dx youll need either a pg7 or pm7 ecu, the dx one wont work, if its a cx and its mpfi then that ecu will work but it wont be the best.
If its a dx you may want to pick up an Si throttle cable...you can get the dx one to work but the Si works best.
