Nah my car is OBD1...Yeah my friend said that it might be a O2 sensor problem too...so i might just change my O2 sensor first and then see wassup...What kind of fuel trim problem could it be if its not the O2 sensor...like what part should i check...THANKS FOR THE INFO
curious if you just finished installing an autometer a/f ratio meter ?
yes its a low signal goign to the ecu from the O2 sensor.

Yeah my autometer air/fuel gauge has been installed for a while already...yeah i am trying to find a new o2 sensor so i can fix my cel.
it's not your O2 sensor. the O2 sensor has it's own code. but if you're ready and willing to listen to these halfwits and burn cash on an O2 sensor, you can send the $90 it will cost to me. or you can shop at http://www.oxygensensors.com
check your EGR valve, fuel pressure, and injector wiring. also consider changing out your fuel filter if you havent done it lately. also ensure the fuel pressure regulator and it's vacuum line isn't clogged and is functioning properly.
if all these check out fine, have your injectors inspected. one may be cracked or severly clogged, therefore not able to pulse properly and setting off a check engine light

A code 43 indicates a problem in the O2 sensor heater circuit or the fuel supply system. If the car drives fine then it is most likely the O2 sensor heater or its wiring or it is not creating voltage or it is not switching. There are two causes of this- a bad O2 sensor or inaccurate fuel metering. A fuel supply system problem WILL be accompanied by poor driveability- If you have a graphing voltmeter you can hook it up to the O2 signal wire and watch the voltage output. An O2 sensor that does not switch properly or is dead will yield a code 43- it is not too difficult to test the O2 sensor but then again- what the hell would I know- I only work on Hondas every day. I have yet to see a code 43 set by something other than a bad O2 sensor. A bad heater will set the light soon after you start the car while a bad signal from the O2 will take some driving.
If you do decide to replace the O2 sensor I HIGHLY recommend getting the Honda piece- it is expensive but worth it.
Who exactly is a "Halfwit?" Maybe you should do some research before you open your mouth. By the way- the O2 sensor can signal a code 1, 41, 43, or even a 48.
FIXHONDA IS RIGHT...I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD BE CALLING ANYONE HALFWITS CAUSE I CHANGED MY O2 SENSOR AND NOW MY CAR IS FINE...NO MORE CHECKLIGHT AND AIR/FUEL GAUGE READING IS BACK TO NORMAL...
FIXHONDAS IS THERE ANYWAY TO FIX THE OLD O2 SENSOR....I THINK THERE IS A BAD SIGNAL GOING TO THE O2 SENSOR CAUSE THE CEL COMES ON AFTER I DRIVE FOR A WHILE...
!!!!!!THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!!!!!

hey maybe one of you could help me out.. My beater/ go to work car is a 1988 accord lxi (fuel injected) with high miles (205,000). The car throws an O2 code but the cel only comes on if I drive at a steady speed/load for a few minutes. Now the car has been completely tuned up, (I changed the fuel filter, adjusted valves, replaced cap/rotor/wires/plugs, replaced both o2 sensors) but the problem is still occuring. As a side note, before the cel comes on it seems that when I go to accelerate there is a bit of a hesitation, and then it accelerates fully (feels almost like turbo lag). after the cel is on however, the hesitation seems greatly diminished.
any help out there amongst all of you honda gurus?

No, you can't repair the O2 sensor.
Markaria, it may be possible that your O2 sensors are hooked up backwards. It may also be possible your TW sensor is inaccurate. When the light comes on- your car is running open loop and does not look at O2 voltages.
