Got a question for everyone..
Ok heres the low down. Got an 89 CRX SI with a zc in it. Every once in a while the car wont start but engine turns over. Then magicaly it will start with no problem.
Drive for a couple days does it over again. Well one day it did in and i didnt start the car for like 2 days. Came back and it fired up for a few seconds then died. Then it started to crank over really slow. So i replaced the dist cap, plugs and Ignition module. But still no spark to the sparkplugs. Going to replace the coil 2morrow, but it looks like a bitch to get off. One screw is kind of sent behind the lip of the dist. Anyone have any advice for that one. Also, if this dosent work, any ideas as to whats wrong???? THanks

about main relay...those go bad all the time....just a thought...

 

yeah it could be the main relay. if it doesn't start especially during hot days then it could be it.

 

Thanks for the advice guys, yeah it is usually on very hot days, i checked all the fuses in the box and they all looked good. How can i test the main relay? I also check the coil in the dist. But nothing coming out of it. So gonna replace that today and see what happens.

UPDATE< Ok replaced the Coil since it tested bad from the auto parts store. Put everything back together and nothing. No spark. So.
So far i have replaced
Ignitino Module.
Coil,
Cap,
Plugs,
The Dist does turn when i checked it. Also tested the two wires comeing into the dist and have good voltage. Any other Ideas guys? Thanks

bro i can speak from experince that this damn thing under your dash well under that coin holder thing behind the kick panel ... beside the hood releace ... i hope you follow me .... is the main relay that thing is a bitch to get out but at a junk yard i paid 5 dollars .... either from a si or dx is the same pull that replace it and have fun again im pretty sure that is it ... ps its really hard to get out but just be patient ....
