Default 97 GSR question

I'm in the process of purcahsing a 97 GSR. I think I'm getting a hell of a deal but people keep telling me other wise. anyway its a 97 GSR black on black with 85k comes with AEM cold air intake, comptech exhuast, ACT clutch, Toda flywheel, sparco shift ****, and a VIS carbon fiber hood. All for 8200 bucks. Tell me what you guys think?

Any pics of the car?

We can't tell if its a good deal by what you gave us for info. Have you done a compression test and leakdown test? What kind of condition is the car in (interior and exterior). How did the owner treat the car, is it a clean title?

You do know that mods don't increase the price of a car. If anything it means the car was surely beat on a bit.

Give us some more info, pics and what not. Then, we can discuss the price.

well he bought the car from a dealership about 6k ago and has now decided he wants to get an RSX type S. it has no rust what so ever and the paint is perfect. its stored in a climate control storage unit and he only drove it over this summer to a couple cruise nights. the clutch and flywheel are both only a 3 weeks old. Hes selling to get a downpayment on the new car.

*thumbs up* 1997 GSR'S are rare..most common are 94-95 GSR's. 1997 GSR's are my favorite because it comes with the syder rims, until the 1998 GSR's came out of course. . oh yeah, its a pretty good deal on that find. Tell em 8k and put down 4k purchasing price so you wont have to pay that much tax.
*cheers*

I would never buy a fix up car. You are asking for problems down the line. It's obvious the cars been driven hard with all those mods.

it hasnt been driven ahrd at all, if anything its been very babied. I know the guys at the shop where the clutch, flywheel, and al the maintenance was done at and they gave the car two very big thumbs up as far as condition and reliability.

insurance is quite a bit for GSR's, even if its a 4 DR. i'm speaking from experience, hence my user ID.
