99-00 Civic Si ecu in a 98 LS??

will this work? i know there both obd2 ecu but ive heard of obd2.5 on the 99-00 si's? what is the difference and can it work...?

No it will not work...the 99+ si p2t ecu is obd2b. Your car is obd2a. 96-98 civics/96-99 integras are obd2 A, and 99-01 civics/00-01 integras are obd2b.
