Default Quick question

How many poeple have actually had sucess with a B18b power wise.I own a 96 Teg with minimal mods as of right now.I layed down a 15.4@91mph late this summer with just an AEM cai,5Zigen exhaust.I was going to do a Turbo setup but decided to wait one more year. This winter I plan on going all out with this B18b but basically I want to know if it would be a waste of time or if I can actually get some decnt power out of this motor.I'm not expecting crazy #'s out of this motor but if you guys have a B18b or know people with done up ones could you let me know if they have petential I'm not familiar really with B series I'm a D series man.

Thanks,

AB

I would imagine with some diff internals, pistons mainly and some cams, prob toda vtec killer cams, and some tuning it would be pretty quick. having said that I;ve never done this kind of set-up , but im sure its possible. hey 1.8 liters is 1.8 liters. good luck...............john.......someone help this guy out

I think you should set a goal first. Do you want 150whp? Do you want to run 13 second timeslips?

For a decent all motor setup, I'd reccommend bolt ons, Crower 403 or 404 cams, and a Skunk2 manifold with tuning.

If you want to be fast, then I suggest you go to the Forced Induction Forum.

I'm not expecting crazy timeslips from this setup but hopefully a some decent numbers.I know all about LsVtec I've experienced it before and I want to stay away from it.I know that going the forced induction route would give me the best #'s all around but I was planning on building the motor a little bit before the turbo setup for next year.My buddy has done a Turbo setup on his B18b with stock internals and it worked out great but I wanna build it up a little so it can handle more boost .
