Door Lock Actuator Help
I bought 2 actuators on ebay one for the driver front and the other for the passenger rear. I'm not sure what years of the actuators are interchangeable but this is what happend:
Last week I started the actuator install on my 94 Accord Sedan. The rear had a 2-pin male and the one I bought was a 2-pin female. I was able to plice into it and switch them and the rear works fine.
Today I was working on the front driver door. Same senerio as above but mine is 5-pin female and the one I bought was a 4-pin male. Since there is 1 pin difference I don't think its going to work. I didn't want to cut the wires and it not work.
Can someone advise me? Will it still work?
Thanks!

It appears you have a early 90's actuator to mate to a 94 control unit. The 94 has an extra "unlock" lead (blk/red) from the control unit to the actuator.
Unfortunately, the 94 actuator is different from the 90 actuator. The 90 actuator has a separate wire lead to the "unlock" keyswitch. In the 94 it appears the keyswitch is mechanically linked to the driver's door actuator or internal to the actuator.
I would suggest tossing the 90 actuator and try to find a 94 actuator.
You might try simply leaving the blk/red wire loose and see how it works. It may be acceptable.
What happened to your original actuator?
good luck
