Default S2000 A-Arm Frame bending

BACKGROUND: I have a 2000 S2000 with about 50,000 miles on it. I Autocross/Solo2 it regularly. I have notice that the vertical frame members that the upper and lower A-Arms (front end) mount to are pulling away from the body. Besides the obvious problem with the frame moving and potentially breaking, it has given me more positive camber - a bad thing for Autocross/solo2. See image at http://www.houscca.com/solo2/images/frame.gif Lime green parts are the frame members that are pulling out from the inner fenderwell

QUESTION: Does anyone know if these vertical frame members were originally welded in place - or were they just bent? Anyone else experienced this? I was plannning to take it to a body shop and having it "welded up". Comments? Thoughts?

I have heard of this happening before. I strongly suggest that you check the "Racing & Competition" forum on S2Ki:
